It all started one sunny Saturday morning when I was scrolling through YouTube, watching a guy casually grow vegetables and fish together in a glorified science experiment. Let me tell you, it looked simple. \u201cHow hard can it be?\u201d I thought, completely oblivious to the chaos that awaited me.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Grand_Plan\"><\/span>The Grand Plan<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Armed with enthusiasm that only a small-town DIYer can muster, I decided to jump in headfirst. Easy to care for and known for being hardy. Plus, they sounded fancy enough for dinner if I ever got around to that. I thought I\u2019d nailed it, only to discover that my supposed \u201cclean\u201d water was thriving in an ecosystem gone rogue. I came home after work, exhausted and ready to just throw in the towel. There I was, staring down at a pump that wouldn\u2019t turn on. I wrestled with it, arms covered in gunk and a frustrated frown etched on my face. That pump had somehow turned my dream into a nightmare.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>After a few kicks and some well-placed words (let\u2019s be real, very colorful language), I took a moment, calmed myself down, and realized it was just blocked. A quick clean and a little elbow grease, and ta-da! It worked again.
