Imagine my surprise when the water started turning green, like something out of a mad scientist&#8217;s lab. Algae, my friend, was not invited to this party.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust keep it balanced,\u201d they said, but OH\u2014if only someone had mentioned how temperamental plants could be! One day they would lean towards the light like eager students in a classroom, and the next day, they\u2019d droop like a lecture gone terribly wrong.
